HaloRC started off back in 2016 with the release of our first frame, the Archon. From the very start we have always designed frames with a difference. We don't see any point creating cookie cutter frames like many other manufacturers. We instead think outside the box and create our own design concepts and invest the time required to develop and test them properly before release. Our only goal is to design, develop and release unique FPV products that are the very best on the market. All our products are thoroughly tested by pilots during the development stages to achieve this.
Designing an awesome frame is one thing, but using the best materials available ensures that our products are the best they can be. We have tested carbon fiber from dozens of manufacturers from all over the world to find the very best quality in terms of strength, precision of cut, weight and finish. Armattan are professional manufacturers who specialise in this industry, and we have chosen them to supply our carbon fiber. We also believe in using the highest quality hardware we can. So all our steel is 12.9 hardened (the highest tensile strength) and our aluminium is aircraft grade 7075.
Hi, I'm lead designer Chris Olah, AKA Bludz FPV. I've been a graphic designer and specialist printer for over 15 years. Towards the end of 2015 I was introduced to fpv and quadcopters and was instantly obsessed. I'm a nerd at heart, so was really taken by the tech side of the hobby, and how accessable it was. I grew up in the extreme sports boom of the 90's, so freestyle flying brought back a lot of nostalgic memories for me. I jumped right in and got flying for fun with friends and started making videos (as you do).
After a couple of years on a steep learning curve I was hooked, and FPV became my life. As a trained graphic designer from a family of mechanical engineers, I soon started to see the vast amount of possibilities that could be explored with frame designs. I had only ever worked in a 2 dimensional form, so I had to teach myself how to use 3D CAD, but I was determined to create my own frame designs. This started as a purely personal project but after encouragement from my friends and family I have decided to expand my print and design business and start Halo RC.
Over the years I have managed to explore so many different design concepts, and develop some into finished products. This has always been a big dream of mine since a very early age. I design with a lot of passion and I hope my products can express this is some small way, and that you can enjoy using them as much as I do.
Neil 'NJTech' Jones has been with HaloRC since the beginning, he was part of the catalyst that set us on the path to design frames. Neil has been an RC pilot for decades, planes, 3D helis and now FPV. Well known for being the best looking guy in FPV and a regular host on the weekly FPV livestream and podcast 'Let's Drone Out' (LDO).
Sam 'Tubemaster' Davies is an experienced pilot local to us here in Cornwall. Sam flies a lot of both freestyle and racing. He's a very fast racer who is a seasoned pro pilot, but we feel that his main talents lie in his freestyle skills. Super smooth and fast style flown at lots of amazing spots.
Andrew Lawrence brings his expertise in cinematography and experience in using FPV in mainstream video shoots. Probably most well known (...and envied) for being the drone pilot for Top Gear, and getting to shoot in most episodes of the recent seasons.
Chris 'Bludz' Olah is only a sponsored pilot because he designs the frames and owns the company!
