1. Data We Do NOT Collect

We are committed to your privacy. The 'Halo Blackmagic Control' App is designed to operate locally on your device and communicate directly with your compatable Blackmagic Design Camera, we are in no way associated with the camera manufacturer Blackmagic Design. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data about you or your usage of the App.

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
• We do not collect usage data, analytics, crash logs, or performance metrics from your device.
• We do not access your device's location services for data collection purposes.
• We do not use cookies or other tracking technologies.

2. Information Used by the App (Local Device Interaction Only)

The App requires access to certain device features to function as intended:

• Bluetooth: The App connects to your Bluetooth-enabled camera (Blackmagic Design models with Bluetooth control) via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to send control commands (e.g. record and adjust settings) and receive status information (e.g., timecode, battery status, media status). All such communication occurs directly between your device and the camera and is not transmitted to us or any third parties.
• Location Permissions: Access to location services is required by the operating systems for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning to function. The App requests this permission to discover and connect to your camera. The App does not collect, store, or transmit your device's location data. This permission is solely for the technical enablement of BLE.
• Local Preferences: The App may store certain settings and preferences (e.g., your selected blue button function) locally on your device to enhance your user experience. This data remains on your device and is not accessible by us.

3. In-App Purchases

On iOS, there are no in app purchaces. However, on Android, the App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full set of features ("Full Control").

• All financial transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store.
• We do not collect, receive, process, or store any of your personal payment information, such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. This information is provided directly to Google and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data stored on our servers to protect. All communications with your camera are local Bluetooth connections.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
